To subtract a number, we don't need to carry 1 from the left side to the rightmost digit(as we have learnt in schools).

Simply, subtract the rightmost digit from 10 and the rest of the digits from 9.

Let us study it with an example. Suppose we want to subtract 437 from 1000.

In this case, we will subtract rightmost digit i.e. 7 from 10 and the rest of the digits from 9 i.e. 3 from 9 and 4 from 9.

Similarly, to subtract 6734 from 10,000 we will subtract 4 from 10 and the rest of the digits each from 9 i.e. 3 from 9, 7 from 9 and 6 from 9.
