Vedic Math Tricks-Multiplying a number by same number of 9's
In this blog we will learn Vedic Math Trick for Multiplying a number by same number of 9's. Here we will adopt the method which is different from what we have learnt in our schools.
To multiply a number, with the same number of 9's as there are number of digits in the number let us start with an example.
Suppose we want to multiply 437 with 999. Note that the number of 9's is the same as the number of digits in 437. Follow the below steps :
Step -1 Subtract 1 from the number 437. i.e 437 - 1 = 436
Step -2 Subtract 437 from 1000 i.e. 1000 - 437 = 563
For subtraction, you can follow the same Vedic method as we have learnt in one of our blogs.

Step -3 Combine the results from both the steps i.e 436 and 563.
Therefore, 437 x 999 = 436563

Another example
Step -2 Subtract 769 from 1000 i.e. 1000 - 1769 = 8231
For subtraction, you can follow the same Vedic method as we have learnt in one of our blogs.

Step -3 Combine the results from both the steps i.e 1768 and 8231.
Therefore, 1769 x 9999 = 17688231
Try yourself for the below :
1. 24 x 99
2. 564 x 999
3. 4832 x 9999
